Frequently asked
-
What does Facet do?
Facet scans your face using your iPhone's front TrueDepth camera and produces seven category insights (Skin Quality, Jawline, Eyes, Symmetry, Mouth, Hair, Bone Structure) plus simple wellness routines for skincare, sleep, and exercise.
It's a self-insight tool — not a medical or professional assessment.
-
What data does Facet collect?
Almost nothing leaves your device. Face scanning, scoring, and analysis all happen on-device using Apple Core ML and ARKit. No facial image, depth data, or measurement is uploaded to our servers.
We send a single anonymous device identifier to our backend (a randomly-generated UUID — not linked to your name, email, or hardware) so we can associate your scans with this installation. We also collect anonymized event counts (such as "scan completed") to understand app usage.
No advertising, no tracking, no facial recognition. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
-
How do I delete my data?
Open Facet → Settings → "Delete account & data". One tap, one confirmation, everything gone:
- All locally stored scans, scores, routines, and preferences are wiped from your device
- Keychain entries are removed
- Your anonymous backend record is deleted within 7 days
You can also just delete the app from your iPhone — local data goes with it. To make sure the backend record is removed too, use the in-app delete first.
-
Do I need to create an account?
No. Facet does not have accounts, sign-up, sign-in, or passwords. You open the app and use it. Behind the scenes, we generate an anonymous identifier for your installation — not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.

Which iPhones work with Facet?
Facet requires a front TrueDepth camera (the same hardware that powers Face ID). Compatible models include:
- iPhone X, XS, XS Max
- iPhone 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max
- iPhone 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max

What are my GDPR rights?
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you can access, delete, port, or object to your data at any time. Since nearly all data is on your device, you already have direct control — use Settings → "Delete account & data" inside the app.
For anything else, email privacy@rencix.com with the subject "Data protection request". We respond within 30 days.
